Kim Clark is an abstract and representational artist that lives and works in Brantford, ON from her home studio. She works primarily in acrylic on wood panel and strives to create work that creates a tranquil, calm place for the viewer to rest their eyes and draw them into a thirty second vacation from every day life. For the past 5 years, Kim has been painting full time, working on developing her signature style, practicing and honing her craft, and learning all she could through classes at various venues in Southern Ontario, as well as artist mentorships through Mastrius with masters Veronica Funk and Lori Siebert. Currently, Kim is exploring the juxtaposition of highly abstract and textured backgrounds, with semi realistic and detailed foregrounds. Recent series have been inspired by The Elements; water, air, earth, fire, Modern Florals, Trees, and Lighthouses.

She has exhibited her work at McMaster Innovation Park in Hamilton, The

Legislative Assembly of Ontario in Toronto, Paris Bohemian Gallery, Taren White Gallery, Groundswell Coworking, Genworth Financial in Oakville, and other venues throughout Southern Ontario. Have you ever had the urge to get creative but don’t know where to start? Come and join professional artist, Kim Clark, as she guides you through the creation of your own 8 x 10” painting, with a focus on a word or image of something that you want more of in your life. 

We will paint intuitively using acrylic paint, brushes and non-traditional tools and infuse your painting with heart and intention. All materials are provided, and you will have guidance every step of the way. No previous painting experience is required.

This isn’t your typical paint night. The focus will be on the act of painting, the joy and calm that comes from creating something with your own hands. Get more in touch with yourself through this joyful exploration of self expression through paint, and leave with a visual reminder of your intention!  

The workshop will take place at Taren White Gallery, 13 Grand River St N, Paris, ON on Friday, September 15th from 6:30 - 8:30pm.

A minimum of 4 participants is required to proceed.

Don’t limit your gnome love to Christmas! Gnomes are said to protect you from evil spirits and bring good luck. 

During this workshop, you will create your own gnome to watch over you! Through paint colours, abstract painting techniques and texture, you can place him in a variety of settings to ensure he can bring you luck throughout the year. 

We will provide everything you will require to turn a 12 x 12” mounted wood panel into your own charming gnome! No previous painting or drawing experience required. Techniques to transfer a pre-drawn gnome image onto your board will be covered as part of the workshop.
